ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
You will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
You will not be burnt; the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior,
I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom,
I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours, because you are precious to me.
You are honored and I love you.”        Isaiah 43:1-4

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
Thou shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff.
Thou shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shall rejoice in the LORD, and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.              Isaiah 41:10-16

When we go through difficulties, it’s easy to lose sight of God’s love. It’s precisely within these situations that God reveals His heart. He is not an unconcerned bystander. No, He is right there with us in whatever difficulties we face. He has already ransomed us, and He will not allow anything to overcome us. How can it, if He is with us and we are clinging to Him? Is God overcome by anything? As long as we stay connected to Him, He will take us safely through every trouble, any flood or fire that threatens us.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.                   Psalms 34:19

No matter what obstacle is in your way, the next “right thing” to do is to face each moment with kindness, an open mind and above all, HOPE………………
If you face any situation in this way, you will grow from it no matter what the situation may be.
There is no shame in sharing and expressing love, what is a shame is finding reasons not to.

“Listen you who are deaf! Look and see you who are blind!”
“Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them my glory.
It was I who created them.”
“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord,
“You are my servant, you have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God, There is no other God; there never has been, and there never will be.

I, yes I, am the LORD, and there is no other Savior.” (Isaiah 42:18, 43:7, 10-11)
God’s plan is for the world to see and acknowledge His character and His saving deeds. His plan is for His people to know Him and glorify (give weight to) Him.
We are created for this purpose alone. How can you glorify him today? That will bring fulfillment, because that is what you were made for. We each have our own ways of glorifying God, our own ways of witnessing to His greatness. Find yours.

Look back and thank God, look forward and trust God, look around and see God, look within and find God. He is the alpha and the Omega, the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for Him? Are you troubled, then call on Him and He will answer; for His ears are not too heavy to hear. Grace speaks, Grace enables, Grace quickens, Grace singles out, Grace opens doors, Grace heals, enjoy the Grace of God today and every day.

PSALMIST AT THE WORKPLACE

The Lord is my boss, I shall not want.

He gives me peace, when chaos is all around.

He reminds me to pray, before I speak in anger.

He restores my sanity.

He guides my decisions that I might honour him in all I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, system failures, copier jams, back ordered supplies, unrealistic deadlines, staff shortages, budget cutbacks, red tape, bureaucracy, downsizing, gossiping co-workers, and whining customers, I won’t give up, for you are with me.

Your presence, peace and power will see me through.

You raise me up, even when the boss fails to promote me.

You claim me as your own, even when the company threatens to let me go.

Your loyalty, faithfulness and love are better than a bonus check.
Your retirement benefits and plan beats any other.

And when it’s all said and done;
I’ll be working for you a whole lot longer!

Vision : Its Meaning and Many Facets

Vision: Its Meaning and Many Facets

WHAT IS VISION:

Simply put, it is the ability to project or dream of what you desire to happen in the future. In most cases to be effective, you harness or merge the past with the present to forecast or 'dream' the future.

Most proponents will tell you that human planning of any kind is most successful when a VISION is in place first.

A VISION must focus on the future and serve as a concrete foundation on which a person can build upon. It does not fluctuate from year to year but serves as an enduring promise which if pursued with unwavering determination and dedication will eventually come to pass; even though there may be delays and 'bumps'.

A successful vision paints a vivid picture of the person and, circumstances, though future-based, is in present tense, as if it were being realized NOW.

A VISION must give people the feeling that their lives and work are intertwined and moving towards recognizable legitimate goals.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A VISION?

  •  Breaks you out of boundary thinking, removes perceived LIMITATIONS - imaginary or real.
  •  Provides continuity and avoids the stutter effect of planning fits and starts - you successfully move from one level of achievement to the next level with EASE.
  •  Identifies direction and purpose, which are the basic ingredients of a successful VISION.
  •  Promotes interests and commitments, firing ZEAL.
  •  Promotes laser like FOCUS, with unwavering dedication and decisiveness.
  •  Encourages openness to unique and creative solutions, ensuring PRACTICABILITY.
  •  Encourages and builds CONFIDENCE, leading to successes in endeavours.
  •  Results in efficiency and productivity, with easily measurable RESULTS.
WHAT/WHO ARE VISION KILLERS?

  • People with stereotype ways of behavior and thinking, performing same roles year in, year out.
  •  Always believing in same mode of governance and resisting change that will enhance progress.
  •  Short term thinkers who never see beyond their nose.
  •  Traditionalist, afraid of losing out when there is change and progress.
  •  People who indulge in Procrastination.
  •  ''Nay Sayers"who never see anything good in anything.
  •  The Fear of being ridiculed.

In conclusion, a VISION is a ''sine qua non'' in Business or Career, and generally in ones journey through life. See yourself as you want to be seen in future NOW. Achieving those goals and aims, bringing forth those things that are not, as if they are already.

AWESOME GOD

AWESOME GOD

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three times, even. The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall’s Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention but he was too busy at this moment.
Caroline twisted her feet to make a scuffling noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

“And what do you want?” the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. I’m talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven’t seen in ages,” he said without waiting for a reply to his question.

“Well I want to talk to you about my brother,” Caroline answered back in the same annoyed tone. “He’s really; really sick…..and I want to buy a miracle.
“I beg your pardon?” said the pharmacist.
“His name is John and he has something bad growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how much does a miracle cost?”
“We don’t sell miracles here, little girl. I’m sorry but I can’t help you,” the pharmacist said, softening a little.
“Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn’t enough I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it costs.”

The pharmacist’s brother was a well-dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, “What kind of a miracle does your brother need?”
“I don’t know,” Caroline replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he’s really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can’t pay for it, so I want to use my money.”
“How much do you have?” asked the man from Chicago.
“One dollar and eleven cents,” Caroline answered barely audibly.
“And it’s all the money I have, but I can get some more if I need to.”
“Well what a coincidence,” smiled the man. “A dollar and eleven cents…..the exact price for a miracle for little brothers.” He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said “Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let’s see if I have the miracle you need.”

That well-dressed man was Dr.Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon, specializing in neurosurgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it wasn’t long until John was home again and doing well. Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

That surgery, “her Mom whispered” was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost.” Caroline smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost…..one dollar and eleven cents…..plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need. A miracle is not necessarily the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.

Key in today for your own MIRACLE with the FAITH of a child in all innocence and LOVE.
