LOVE

The greatest use of life is LOVE,
The greatest expression of love is TIME,
And the greatest time to love is NOW,
Because you may not have that opportunity TOMORROW.
The love of God is like an ocean, you can see its beginning, but not it’s END…...
It is therefore imperative for everyone to INSTALL LOVE in his or her heart today. Here is how to go about it:-

Client: Sir, I wish to INSTALL LOVE in my Heart

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to connect to other Hearts in order to get upgrades.

Client: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, “Error – Program not run on external components.” What should I do?

Tech Support: Don’t worry. It means that the Love program is set to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to begin to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Client: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive Self, Realize your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Client: Okay, done

Tech Support: Now copy them to the “My Heart” directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also you need to delete Verbose Self Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Client: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over my Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes a while, but eventually, everyone gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Client: Thank you God for this opportunity to Love.

SALIENT POINTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL EARTHLY SOJOURN

1)Pray-Prayer is basically, talking to your maker and believing Him for an answer. It involves various modules but can be summarized under the following headings:- Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship, Supplications, Intercessions etc. It is a dynamic process and should be specially cultivated in ones earthly journey. A WALK WITH GOD is a sine qua non for a successful earthly sojourn.

2)Go to bed on time – Retiring to bed at a regular time everyday and making sure that your body is fully rested for nothing less than four to six hours every night will ensure longevity and less tendency to develop a high blood pressure.

3)Get up on time so you can start the day fresh and unrushed. This is a natural follow up to 2 above.

4)Say No to projects that won’t fit into your time schedule or that will compromise your mental health. Learning to say NO firmly is crucial to successful living.

5)Delegate tasks to capable hands. Being unable to master this aspect of living is what leads in most cases to physical and mental breakdowns.

6)Simplify and unclutter your life. Learning to do this, demystify's life complexities.

7)Less is more (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many). This is self explanatory.

8)Allow extra time to do things and to get to places. Learning good time management is a must, if you are to succeed in your day to day earthly tasks.

9)Space yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time, don’t lump the hard things all together. Learn to have fun doing the things you do; even when they are difficult.

10)Take one day at a time. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. This is one of the basic principles necessary to reducing stress in one's earthly existence.
(Matthew 6:34)

11)Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can’t do anything about a situation, forget it. Most times after so many days, weeks , months the solution suddenly pops up without stress.

12)Live within your budget; don’t use credit cards for ordinary purchases. Learning to do this gives a lot of peace and builds self confidence.

13)Ensure you have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, etc. This is very helpful in overcoming unexpected situations and accidents.

14)K.Y.M.S. (Keep Your Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble. Obeying this injunction gives a lot of peace and tranquility even in this “jet” age.

15)Do something for the child in you everyday. Don't fail to give yourself a treat ever so often.

16)Carry something inspirational with you to read while waiting in line. This continually keeps your mind in a motivational gear always and does not allow idle negative thoughts to take root on the “soil” of your mind.

17)Get enough rest. This cannot be over emphasized, as it is a great key to healthy living.

18)Eat right. Learning the basics of healthy eating habits prolongs life and makes it more enjoyable.

19)Get organized; so everything has its place. Putting round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes gives life a beautiful meaning.

20)Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life. This also helps cultivate your mind in the right direction and perspective.

21)Write down thoughts and inspiration. Reviewing them later, builds your personality and improves your self confidence to achieving unimaginable goals.

22)Everyday, find time to be alone. This allows you to appreciate the Almighty Creator of the universe more and see yourself in the light of being beautifully and wonderfully made. Appreciate your uniqueness in the scheme of things and the fact that no one is exactly like you. YOU ARE UNIQUE. Your finger print proves it.

23)Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don’t wait until it’s time to go to bed to try to pray. You are likely to forget to pray about it before sleeping and the problem may continue to gather momentum in your subconscious and can evolve itself into a “tornado” when it will finally “burst” into your consciousness. Do not create a "storm" in a "tea cup".

24)Make friends with Godly people. They help stabilize your life and help you experience “peace like a river”.

25)Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand. The word is your sword for daily living and being knowledgeable in it, is to your advantage.

26)Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good “Thank you God” and a good nights sleep.

27)Laugh. There is no better anecdote to cure daily earthly stress.

28)Laugh some more! Overdose! It'll do you a lot of good, not to worry.

29)Take your work seriously, but yourself not at all. Learn to prioritize your duties.

30)Develop a forgiving attitude. (Some people are doing the best they can and you must learn to be as accommodating as possible). Doing this also brings a lot of peace.

31)Be kind to unkind people. (They probably need it the most). You can't go wrong once you've learnt to cultivate this attitude.

32)Sit on your Ego and if possible suffocate it to “death”.

33)Talk less; but be a good listener. You may not gain more friends but you are certainly less likely to make enemies.

34)Slow down. Learn to control the “JET AGE” syndrome.

35)Remind yourself you are not the General Manager of the Universe. Even the Creator of The Universe instructs you to have rest, one in seven.

36)Every night before bed, think of one thing you are grateful for, that you’ve never been grateful for before and give Thanks to the Almighty God. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Rom.8:31).
Be happy and Thankful always.

Time : Your Currency of Life

The ability to maximize and prioritize the use of available time is a major factor to success upon this earthly plane which is time dependent.

You and I, are the sum total of what we spend our time on. Our earthly existence from day to day is twenty four (24) hours dependent; meaning no matter which place we are upon the surface of this earth, we will experience the two phases of life and living within that twenty four (24) hour period (light and darkness) even though each (light or darkness) will be in differing length of hours, depending upon the place (latitude and longitude) and the season.

Therefore, it behoves every individual to learn to “master” the use of time on earth maximally. The true measure of your life is calculated in time. The Almighty God does not give money but gives time and the ability to get wealth. Money is the currency of exchange while time is the currency of life.

When you use your time diligently and prudently, the following benefits will become available unto you:-
  • When you have learnt to master and prioritize time, it will protect and preserve your life because you will learn to do the right things, at the right time, in the right way, and in the right place. Thus you will get the right results for your actions or activities most of the times, if not all the time.
  • It will keep your energy at a high level.
  • This will lead you to make true progress in the right direction. You will not be “beating about the bush” on most matters, and you will not waste available time.
  • When you have the correct priority for your time, it will help you protect your currency of life, which is your time. Most people do not realize that the true currency of life is time. It is quite possible for you to abuse your time currency by doing the wrong things at the wrong time, in the wrong way and in the wrong place. You should realize that when you lose your time currency, nobody can give it back to you; and it will take the grace of God upon your life to recover the lost time currency.
  • Good management of your time resources will help preserve and protect your energy from being wasted. (Saves you from the wasters of Destiny).
  • It will also help protect your talents and the Gift of God upon your life. You will thus avoid spending your time and gifts on things that are worthless and unproductive.
  • With good time management, your decisions are protected because they are taken at the right time and fit properly and adequately into the scheme of things, at the right point in time.
  • Prudent time management helps you to be disciplined; this of course is a function of doing the right things at the right time, in the right way and at the right place.
  • Lastly good time management, (which is prioritizing your activities according to the available time frame or schedule), makes your life very, very simple and life and living uncomplicated.

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
You will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
You will not be burnt; the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior,
I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom,
I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours, because you are precious to me.
You are honored and I love you.”        Isaiah 43:1-4

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
Thou shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff.
Thou shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shall rejoice in the LORD, and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.              Isaiah 41:10-16

When we go through difficulties, it’s easy to lose sight of God’s love. It’s precisely within these situations that God reveals His heart. He is not an unconcerned bystander. No, He is right there with us in whatever difficulties we face. He has already ransomed us, and He will not allow anything to overcome us. How can it, if He is with us and we are clinging to Him? Is God overcome by anything? As long as we stay connected to Him, He will take us safely through every trouble, any flood or fire that threatens us.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.                   Psalms 34:19

No matter what obstacle is in your way, the next “right thing” to do is to face each moment with kindness, an open mind and above all, HOPE………………
If you face any situation in this way, you will grow from it no matter what the situation may be.
There is no shame in sharing and expressing love, what is a shame is finding reasons not to.

“Listen you who are deaf! Look and see you who are blind!”
“Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them my glory.
It was I who created them.”
“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord,
“You are my servant, you have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God, There is no other God; there never has been, and there never will be.

I, yes I, am the LORD, and there is no other Savior.” (Isaiah 42:18, 43:7, 10-11)
God’s plan is for the world to see and acknowledge His character and His saving deeds. His plan is for His people to know Him and glorify (give weight to) Him.
We are created for this purpose alone. How can you glorify him today? That will bring fulfillment, because that is what you were made for. We each have our own ways of glorifying God, our own ways of witnessing to His greatness. Find yours.

Look back and thank God, look forward and trust God, look around and see God, look within and find God. He is the alpha and the Omega, the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for Him? Are you troubled, then call on Him and He will answer; for His ears are not too heavy to hear. Grace speaks, Grace enables, Grace quickens, Grace singles out, Grace opens doors, Grace heals, enjoy the Grace of God today and every day.

PSALMIST AT THE WORKPLACE

The Lord is my boss, I shall not want.

He gives me peace, when chaos is all around.

He reminds me to pray, before I speak in anger.

He restores my sanity.

He guides my decisions that I might honour him in all I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, system failures, copier jams, back ordered supplies, unrealistic deadlines, staff shortages, budget cutbacks, red tape, bureaucracy, downsizing, gossiping co-workers, and whining customers, I won’t give up, for you are with me.

Your presence, peace and power will see me through.

You raise me up, even when the boss fails to promote me.

You claim me as your own, even when the company threatens to let me go.

Your loyalty, faithfulness and love are better than a bonus check.
Your retirement benefits and plan beats any other.

And when it’s all said and done;
I’ll be working for you a whole lot longer!

Vision : Its Meaning and Many Facets

Vision: Its Meaning and Many Facets

WHAT IS VISION:

Simply put, it is the ability to project or dream of what you desire to happen in the future. In most cases to be effective, you harness or merge the past with the present to forecast or 'dream' the future.

Most proponents will tell you that human planning of any kind is most successful when a VISION is in place first.

A VISION must focus on the future and serve as a concrete foundation on which a person can build upon. It does not fluctuate from year to year but serves as an enduring promise which if pursued with unwavering determination and dedication will eventually come to pass; even though there may be delays and 'bumps'.

A successful vision paints a vivid picture of the person and, circumstances, though future-based, is in present tense, as if it were being realized NOW.

A VISION must give people the feeling that their lives and work are intertwined and moving towards recognizable legitimate goals.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A VISION?

  •  Breaks you out of boundary thinking, removes perceived LIMITATIONS - imaginary or real.
  •  Provides continuity and avoids the stutter effect of planning fits and starts - you successfully move from one level of achievement to the next level with EASE.
  •  Identifies direction and purpose, which are the basic ingredients of a successful VISION.
  •  Promotes interests and commitments, firing ZEAL.
  •  Promotes laser like FOCUS, with unwavering dedication and decisiveness.
  •  Encourages openness to unique and creative solutions, ensuring PRACTICABILITY.
  •  Encourages and builds CONFIDENCE, leading to successes in endeavours.
  •  Results in efficiency and productivity, with easily measurable RESULTS.
WHAT/WHO ARE VISION KILLERS?

  • People with stereotype ways of behavior and thinking, performing same roles year in, year out.
  •  Always believing in same mode of governance and resisting change that will enhance progress.
  •  Short term thinkers who never see beyond their nose.
  •  Traditionalist, afraid of losing out when there is change and progress.
  •  People who indulge in Procrastination.
  •  ''Nay Sayers"who never see anything good in anything.
  •  The Fear of being ridiculed.

In conclusion, a VISION is a ''sine qua non'' in Business or Career, and generally in ones journey through life. See yourself as you want to be seen in future NOW. Achieving those goals and aims, bringing forth those things that are not, as if they are already.

AWESOME GOD

AWESOME GOD

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three times, even. The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall’s Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention but he was too busy at this moment.
Caroline twisted her feet to make a scuffling noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

“And what do you want?” the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. I’m talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven’t seen in ages,” he said without waiting for a reply to his question.

“Well I want to talk to you about my brother,” Caroline answered back in the same annoyed tone. “He’s really; really sick…..and I want to buy a miracle.
“I beg your pardon?” said the pharmacist.
“His name is John and he has something bad growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how much does a miracle cost?”
“We don’t sell miracles here, little girl. I’m sorry but I can’t help you,” the pharmacist said, softening a little.
“Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn’t enough I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it costs.”

The pharmacist’s brother was a well-dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, “What kind of a miracle does your brother need?”
“I don’t know,” Caroline replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he’s really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can’t pay for it, so I want to use my money.”
“How much do you have?” asked the man from Chicago.
“One dollar and eleven cents,” Caroline answered barely audibly.
“And it’s all the money I have, but I can get some more if I need to.”
“Well what a coincidence,” smiled the man. “A dollar and eleven cents…..the exact price for a miracle for little brothers.” He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said “Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let’s see if I have the miracle you need.”

That well-dressed man was Dr.Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon, specializing in neurosurgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it wasn’t long until John was home again and doing well. Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

That surgery, “her Mom whispered” was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost.” Caroline smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost…..one dollar and eleven cents…..plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need. A miracle is not necessarily the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.

Key in today for your own MIRACLE with the FAITH of a child in all innocence and LOVE.
